POEM SHARE: Children's poets from across the globe presenting their favorite poems for Poetry Month and beyond!

Charles Waters honors the late Paul B. Janeczko, who created many beautiful poetry anthologies for children, in today's POEM SHARE, where Charles reads his poem "The Walk." Paul encouraged Charles when Charles started his journey of writing poems.

"The Walk" is part of Paul B. Janeczko's anthology Where I Live, Poems about My Home, My Street, and My Town, and it's brimming with poems by celebrated children's poets.

Sometimes you can find the idea for a poem close to home. Look around your house, street, and town. What objects and/or people spark ideas for a poem?

Happy poetry reading and writing, everyone!
